My new home

It's been 4 days since I got here in the US. Well, on the first day I was a little sad because I already missed my family and friends in the Philippines. The first thing I noticed here is the weather, it's so cold!!! I am not used to cold weather coz I came from a warm country. Well, maybe I will get used to it...hehe...

I am feeling a little sad because I am away from my family but also I am happy because finally I am with my love... *wink*

I left the Philippines last January 24, 2010 at 8:20am (Philippine time). My parents did not went to the airport with us because they said they don't want me to see leaving, they don't wanna cry! Yeah, maybe that is better. I spent the whole day with my family on my last day in my country and bid goodbye to them. Well, that is not goodbye actually coz I will be back there soon. It's a good thing that we have internet to be able to communicate with my family and friends in the Philippines.

We traveled for almost 15hours. Whew! that is very long and tiring! We had a lay over first at Japan, then my point of entry is at the Minneapolis then another flight going to Wichita Kansas, our last stop. When I got at the Minneapolis airport, I didn't took me long to went through immigration. The immigration officer just asked me whom I am with and the address of my fiance then he welcomed me to the US. I expected that it will took me long to get to the immigration because I know that US is very strict in all new immigrants. Anyway, I am not worried because I have all my papers with me.

From the Minneapolis airport, we took a small plane going to Wichita Kansas which is our last stop. When we arrived at Wichita, that is the first time that I feel the cold!!! Omg! I can't even walk and move my hands...hahaha...And I met my fiance's grandma and grandma. They are so nice. They have waited for us at the airport. I was very tired because of the long travel yet so happy coz I am with my love and I was very excited to meet his family.

On the second day, we went to the mall to buy coats and boots for me. I was difficult for me to find my size because I am petite. And guess what??? I bought a coat in a teen's section...hahaha...It's a very cute coat and I like it. Anyway, no one will notice that it's for 14year old girl..hehe...Oh and I also bought an ugg boots. I really like it!

On my second day, we went to his parent's house. I met his parents, brother and his brother's wife. They are all nice. I was very excited to meet them but a little nervous. But upon meeting them, I feel more comfortable talking to them and they welcomed me to their family. I am now part of the Kehn family...hehe...

Now, me and fiance are busy planning our wedding..
