Cookie bouquet for a friend

I made a birthday cookie bouquet for my good friend Janie. Her birthday was last June 24, two days before my birthday. I can't think of a gift for her because I know she can have everything that she wants! Well, I just thought of making a cookies for her. A cookie bouquet made with love....

A Birthday Prayer

Thank you God

for giving me another year of life.
Thank you for all the people who remembered me today
by sending cards, and letters, gifts and good wishes.

Thank you for all the experience of this past year;
for times of success which will always be happy memories,
for times of failure which reminded me of my own weakness and of my need for you,
for times of joy when the sun was shining,
for times of sadness which drove me to you.

for the hours I wasted,
for the chances I failed to take,
for the opportunities I missed this past year.

I started painting bags again and I thought of painting angels. I love angels! 

I believe in angels. Each one of us has guardian angels that looks after us.

Cookies for Father's Day

Happy Father's Day cookie for my Father, my Dad-in-law, my Grandpa, my Uncles and to all fathers out there.

I thought of making something special so I tried making a lemon cookie.

I tried making a chocolate cookie because I don't wanna stick on sugar cookies only. I want to have variety of flavors on my cookies.

It's not Valentine's day but I love heart shape cookies

I used the "toothpick" technique in those green cookies.

I thought the smiley face were so cute!

Life is sweet!

I'm back!

After two weeks of busy days, I am here again! I'm back! Back on the track...

Well, driving class is over. Yay! I'm glad I passed it. My next step: Driver's License. Soon. I still have immigration stuffs that's not yet done. Ugh! wait...wait...and more wait again...

Anyway, I found a new hobby. And since I love painting. I paint everything even a tool bag. Hehe...So I thought of trying the cookie decorating. Hmmm...sounds like fun! I am not a "baker" but I will try to be...Haha...

Farmers Market had already started and I thought of selling my hand painted bags and decorated cookies.

Here are some of the samples of my decorated cookies.

I used a sugar cookie recipe for these.

It was fun doing it. It takes a lot of time but I really enjoyed it. I love painting everything but these are different because these are edible. That's why I called these "my edible art"...

Horses and Guinea Pigs

Last month, I got an order of hand painted bags and my clients wanted a horse and guinea pigs. 

The first client is my husband's co-worker. She wanted a horse on the bag. That is for her and for her daughter, they both love horses.

The second client is my friend in North Carolina. Actually, this was the second time that she ordered bag from me. She wanted guinea pigs on the bag. She's going to give the bags to her friend as a gift. When I found out that she wanted a guinea pig, I was thinking what is a guinea pig? Haha..I haven't seen guinea pigs before. So I browsed the net. And now I know what is it!

I missed blogging

Hello everyone! It's been a while since I write my last blog. Hmmm...I was very busy! I haven't written blog for two weeks and I missed it. 

I am busy with my driving class and preparing for Farmer's Market. I have my driving class for two weeks. It's in the morning of Monday to Friday. And on the afternoon, I make and decorate cookies that I will sell in Farmer's Market. Busy huh?! Hehe...And of course, I also need to do some household chores like cooking and laundry. 

Like yesterday, I attended my driving class in the morning and I need to come back in the afternoon for the actual driving test. I was nervous! I drove for one and a half hours. Luckily I passed the test. Thanks God...

It was a long day for me yesterday! I was tired after I got back from my class. I rested for an hour and then started to decorate my cookies again. Even though, I felt tired...just by looking at my cookies makes me feel happy and ease the tiredness.

I don't have class for today because it's a make-up class for those who didn't pass the driving exams. I passed all so I don't need to go. I was lucky! Haha...

Today is the first day of June. It's the start of summer! Yay! Spring ends and summer begins around June 21. It's the time the flowers are beautiful. But apart from this, what else do you know about the month of June?
