Sugar Cookie Recipe

This is the recipe that I used in my sugar cookies.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened
1 cup Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1 Large Egg
2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour

This is my best friend, my Kitchen Aid.
(it was a wedding gift from my Mom and Dad in law)
It helps me in so many ways! I can't bake without it. It makes baking fun and easier...

Procedures:

Cream the butter, sugar and salt into low to medium speed.

Add the egg and vanilla extract.
Mix well until thoroughly incorporated.
Scrape down the sides of the bowl once in a while and mix again.

Add flour. Beat in a low speed just until flour is mixed in.

DO NOT OVERMIX.

Overmixing will makes the dough tough. The cookies will become hard and flat.

Put the dough in a plastic or Saran wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour.

Dust the work surface and the rolling pin with flour. Roll the dough to 1/4 inches thick. Add flour as needed to prevent the dough from sticking.

Cut into desired shapes.
Put a parchment paper on the baking pan and place the cookie cut-outs.

Preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes or until the edge of the cookies are light golden brown.

After baking, let the cookies cool completely before decorating.

A "friendly" bag

A friend is one of the nicest things you can have, and one of the best things you can be.

Friends are needed both for joy and for sorrow.

A friend is one who strengthens you with prayers, blesses you with love and encourages you with hope.

Good news

I was tired last night from our 12 hour travel from Arkansas. But the tiredness has gone when I  receive a  mail.  When we got home, the first time I checked was the mailbox. I was really surprised! Wow! I had a mail....it was my Green Card. Wow! I can't believe that it will be that fast. After three months of waiting, it's already in my hand. I am now a permanent resident of the United States!

Thank you Lord!

John Deere cookies

Good Morning everyone!

Whew! I woke early today. After 12 hours of travel yesterday, I was really exhausted. 12 hours of sitting on the car and doing nothing but sleep. Haha...It was my first road trip also. I went to Arkansas last Friday to attend on my hubby's cousin's wedding, which is last Sunday. I went there with my hubby and with my Mom and Dad in law. I really had fun because I met some of my hubby's family that I have never met before. It was also a little reunion for Kehn's family.

I have been away for 3 days so now I am back. I just wanna share the John Deere cookies that I made last week before I left to Arkansas. By the way, my husband works for John Deere dealership.

A bag inspired with love

Love...Love...Love...

It is the greatest thing in the world.

And the inspiration for this bag....

1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

John 13:34-35

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you

The  Bible verse below was the inspiration for this bag....

Philippians 1:3-11

I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine for you all making my prayer with joy,  thankful for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. It is right for me to feel thus about you all, because I hold you in my heart, for you are all partakers with me of grace, both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel. For God is my witness, how I yearn for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus. And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruits of righteousness which come through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.
