Zebra stripes and hot pink cake

I noticed that the zebra stripes and hot pink are very popular for a girl's birthday.

Well, I love it too! :)

This cake is for a little girl's 10th birthday.

The bottom tier is a lemon cake, the middle is strawberry and the top tier is a red velvet cake.
The frosting is a vanilla buttercream frosting and covered with fondant.

I made the cake topper.

The ribbon is the only thing that is inedible in this cake.

Jayhawk cookies

I made the Jayhawk cake last month, check out this post Jayhawk cake
and now here is the cookie version.

The Jayhawk logos are free handed.

I printed the logo and cut it.

Then I put the paper above the cookie and trace the outside line
so that all of them are in the same size.

And this is the hardest part, I free handed all the details using a foodwriter

I have a picture beside me while I am drawing it.

It's a lot of work though I really enjoyed it.

I made one dozen of these but it took two hours to finish these.

Guess what?!

I have another Jayhawk cake order for next week.

It's a Jayhawk cookie and cake marathon!

Cookies for a pageant

for the contestants of  Miss Kansas 2011.

Wow! This was the second time that I was asked
to make cookies for a pageant.

I know! It's pink!

Haha...

More cookies to post tomorrow...
