I have been addicted to Pinterest lately. It is a social photo networking website wherein you can create and manage theme based collections such hobbies, events, interests and more. You can browse the website for inspirations and make your own board and repin it. I heard of Pinterest a long time ago and I was curious about it. When I browse the website, I thought that is so cool and then I started to get addicted. I even have my own Pinterest board, this is the link http://pinterest.com/annekehn2012/. 

I have been searching for house decor DIY ideas and I found this very easy and cheap photo collage using a mod podge. 

 All you need is a canvas, mod podge, black acrylic paint, sponge brushes and photos.

I like black and white photos. Since the canvas is white, I color it with black acrylic paint. I thought black would be a nice background for a black and white photos. Let the canvas dry for 24 hours. Put mod podge on the back of the photo and smooth it onto the canvas. I waited for about an hour to let it dry and applied mod podge in front of the photo and let it dry for 24 hours.

Voila! This is the finished product.

It's a nice wall decor on top of our fireplace. 

Four months already?!

My sweet baby girl is four months old today!

She's getting bigger and cuter, of course! Haha...She starts to grab things now specially my hair. She loves to pull my hair (ouch!). Whenever I put her in her playmat she grabs the toys and she loves it. Those giggles and little laughs just melts my heart. Four months ago, she was just a tiny bitty baby and now she's growing like a weed! How time flies!

Leopard and zebra print cake

Leopard and Zebra stripe graduation cake

This takes a lot of time to make because I handpainted the leopard print using an edible pen. The color scheme is red and orange which is the color of the school logo. The graduation cap cake topper  at the top is made of styrofoam and I just covered it with fondant.

Pink and zebra stripe cake...again!

I think this is the fourth time that I made a pink and zebra stripe cake. Well, I guess little girls love it! 

This is a chocolate cake with buttercream frosting.

I usually cover my cakes with fondant as it looks prettier and for smoother look but the customer doesn't like the fondant. This was covered with buttercream but the designs and details are made of fondant. And guess what? I had another cake order and it's another zebra stripe! Check it out on my next post.

I wish I was there on her party but it's way too far from Kansas. Ha!  But I'm glad that she had fun and she loved her cookies.

San Diego trip

We went to San Diego California two weeks ago for our vacation. It was actually a company trip. The NAPA store that my husband manages got a five star excellence award and the price is a trip to San Diego. He works hard to improve his store and he deserves that price! Haha..Way to go baby! Maybe our next trip is out of the county?! *grin*

It was also our vacation since I had my baby. It was awesome! We enjoyed it but I missed my baby when we were there. We left her with Grandma and Granpa. It was hard for me because that was the first time that I'm away with her. I had a separation anxiety! But I did survive...

Amazing!

We really did enjoyed it. What I love the most is the Dolphin and Shamu show at Seaworld. They are the cutest thing ever! I also love the beach because it reminds me of my home, the Philippines. The weather was nice. Our hotel was in front of the bay area so it's a little bit chilly during the night. San Diego is a beautiful place and I wanna go back there someday...  :)

So now I am back on the grind. I got cake and cookie orders so I will be very busy.
